Coach Pitch
​$215  (Late Fee = $265)

• Ages 7-9*
• Practices 1-2 times per week decided by team parents
• 8 Games Thursdays 6, 7 or 7:30 pm @ Shadow Creek Sports Complex!
• Coach typically assigned; Parents work together to coach the players
• 1 parent needed to be Team Coordinator
• Post-Season Tournament

Goals of our Coach Pitch division:

• "Mastering" Coach Pitch is more that just being able to hit the ball off a pitch. 
• ​Players should learn rules of the game and:
  • Offensive - beginning to know how to read a Ball vs a Strike pitch; multiple base running; stealing on a passed ball; listening to the coach; knowing when to run & when not to run; learning how to hit the ball harder and farther with the right body mechanics.
  • Defensive - learning how to play different positions; mastering the mechanics of: fielding the ball on the ground, catching the ball in the air, throwing accurately to a base, and successfully catching a thrown ball from another player; knowing when to throw the ball, when to hold the ball; and concepts of getting the lead runner out.
• The player should be proficient with the above and had enough practice opportunities in games to display these attributes before moving up to Kid Pitch.

​Game Format / Rules:

• Batting team Parent pitches
• Fielding team Player Catches
• Up to 7 pitches per bat - no Hit = Out; Foul last pitch = another pitch
• 3 outs or 5-run maximum = end of half inning
• Score keeping:  A maximum five run rule per half inning is in effect for all divisions
• Game time: 75 minutes​

• Collect info on other sports involved, and set practice around schedules
• At least 1 practice per week, 90 minutes max
